Skiing, iirc, is a setting.you can enable it or disable it. Again the patches will probably resolve the problems. However some of its problems are yet to be fixed. I remember the quake2 engine could never do this well.but I've no experience with the quake3 engine.

The engine is quite good since it renders both closed and open environments without getting a massive fps hit (read: 95% type hits). Expect the next 4-5 patches to solve most of these problems. I'm talking about the game looking like a Super Sajin teleport fight here. On dirt maps the effects are muddy, and when the projectiles hit a building, the snow or dirt effect is not used.I have a Matrox G400MAX Dualhead card and T2 is choking it worse than Boston Strangler. I started coding in snow effects for some projectiles, for snow maps, like modern games have. Its a faster mod, and has new cool weapon effects, new weapons, and more.

Here is my latest test mod for tribes2-ultimate,its named Classic-T20, its built on the classic mod. My tribes2 server is up, look for classic-T20, in the rule set, or mod type. This is compatible, meaning you can play on regular tribes2 servers.īut if a server runs Tribes2-Ultimate, all players connecting, must have it installed, because of all the custom stuff included.

I also replaced/updated many the ugly tribes2, skyboxs, terrain textures. Tribes2-Ultimate, is my custom tribes2 install, includes most all map-packs, custom maps, voice-packs, and good client scripts.
